What We Do

Instead of worrying about getting it wrong, imagine how iconic it’d be to get it right.

  • REPS’ BIPOC Intimacy Coordinators are IPA-certified and have significant production experience, so they understand how sets work and how to frictionlessly support both directors and actors within that frame.

REPS ICs specialize in visually credible intimacy for Black and brown characters, as well as for all sexual orientations, and they are fluent in the diverse spectrum of gender expansive identities.

Adhering to SAG-AFTRA’s standards and protocols for intimacy coordinators, our ICs create a safe space for all creatives — whether in front of or behind the camera— to do their best work.

  • Maintaining a safe, supportive set includes looking after your cast and crew’s mental and emotional well-being, especially when dealing with sensitive subject material.

REPS’ licensed mental health providers are skilled in content review for potential triggers, on-set risk, crisis mitigation, and creating support structures before, during, and after production.

Our counselors are available for virtual and on-set guidance for flagged scenes, as well as individual and group counseling support for overall wellness and performance enhancement for your cast, production team, and crew.

We also provide referrals to licensed practitioners local to your production in cases requiring diagnostic or medical treatment services.

  • Powerful content doesn’t come from theory, its authenticity is rooted in practice. Our broad roster of consultants are more than experts, they’re advocates from and for the communities, cultures, and identities they represent.

Hiring a REPS consultant is a way to bring these outside voices IN to inform the work and create recognizable representation in your story from pitch to post.

  • Reps On Set’s advocates and sensitivity readers are available to work with productions throughout the script writing process.

We help writers develop characters and stories that are recognizable to the identities and realities they represent. We also evaluate scripts for implicit bias, stereotyping, authenticity, and cultural sensitivity, balancing what is respectful to the communities with what serves the story.

  • Whether you want to qualify for a Best Picture Oscar® or simply build a team that reflects its audience, tell us what your production goals are and REPS will do a thorough evaluation to ensure they’re being met.Item description

Responsible representation is not an obligation but an opportunity to create more compelling characters and tell more striking stories — content that everyone will be talking about for all the right reasons.

Reps On Set is excited to help creatives tap into the language, nuances, and energy of voices that are part of our culture, driving our expressions and creativity, but have too often been excluded from the development and production process. Society is not monolithic, it is multifaceted, and film and television are powerful tools that can teach us how to see ourselves. Reps On Set is a valuable bridge to bring an array of perspectives IN the room to create dynamic, authentic content that reflects all of who we are.

We have awesome, important work to do. Now is the time to do it.

Better Representation. Not An Obligation. An Opportunity.
